Hi, I’m Gail Schargel, running for City Council District 2 under the name CleanSafeStreet. As a longtime volunteer and member of the sanitation commission, I’ve fought to keep our neighborhood clean and safe. But problems keep getting worse—rats, unsafe bike traffic, and neglected streets. It’s time for real action.
My Priorities:
-
Enforce bike traffic laws
-
Incentivize clean sidewalks
-
Use more compact electric sweepers
-
Turn vacant lots into housing
-
Smarter community policing—officers walking beats, building trust
This isn’t about politics—it’s about protecting the place we call home. I’m ready to bring new energy, practical solutions, and real results.
Vote Gail Schargel for City Council District 2—let’s get the clean, safe streets we all deserve.

Let me know what would make our neighborhood better—Let's work together.
